Streaming media was the breakout star of 2020 and got most of us through the early days of quarantine. The platform not only took share from linear TV, but increased time spent watching video across devices from smartphones to smart TVs. This once emerging medium is now the one every brand is eyeing for new opportunities. But it’s still a bit of a Wild West show.

Gone are the days of one-stop Upfront inventory shopping. Media companies are moving fast to create streaming packages and sell them across PMPs, direct buys, partner properties and on the open web. And what about quality? How can brands be sure what they’re buying is brand-safe, fraud-free and reaching the audiences they’ve built over the decades on linear TV? Can streaming forge the consumer connections that drive business?

Tyler Fitch, VP of Advertising Partnerships, Tubi

Tyler Fitch leads Ad Partnerships for Tubi, the world’s largest free ad-supported movie and television service. Tubi’s proprietary ad tech is on the forefront of Over the Top (OTT) advertising and measurement tackling the intersection of linear and digital television.

Fitch has spent over a decade running programmatic advertising at some of the world’s largest publishers. In the early years of programmatic, he managed over 30 billion monthly impressions worldwide for hi5 and then joined the founders of Myspace as the first employee of Jam City.

A California Native, he attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he was a four-year starting pitcher on the Cal Poly baseball team. Fitch now resides in the Bay Area with his wife and two boys.

Harry Kargman, Founder & CEO, Kargo

Harry Kargman is the founder and CEO of Kargo, the leading mobile brand advertising marketplace. Harry was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016. Under his leadership over the last 15+ years, Harry has transformed Kargo from a small start-up into one of the advertising industry’s fastest- growing and most innovative technology companies – announced as an Inc. 500 winner in 2015. Harry sits on the Advertising Council Board of Directors.

His experience building Kargo from the ground up has given him a deep understanding of the latest trends. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at CES, IAB, Advertising Week, Websummit, Cannes and other advertising and technology conferences, and has been featured in The NYTimes, The Today Show, AdAge, Bloomberg, Fox Business, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and dozens of other media outlets. 

Harry graduated with honors from Harvard College, where he is now an advisor to young entrepreneurs through the Harvard Innovation Lab. He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.

Janina Lundy, VP, Marketing, BET+

Janina Lundy is an entertainment and media executive with nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, business strategy, operations, live events and production. She is known for her ability to develop innovative solutions to marketing and business challenges. In her three years at BET Networks (ViacomCBS), Janina has led marketing campaigns, overseen strategy and execution for events and experiences, and supervised partnerships and sponsorships. She currently manages operations, marketing and business strategy for BET+, BET’s SVOD platform. Janina was instrumental in the launch year of the service, which is exceeding revenue and subscription projections.Prior to BET, Janina was a marketing and branded content consultant. She worked on political media campaigns, managed media partnerships and executive produced film and television content.Previously, she spent seven years at GlobalHue, where she was most recently SVP, Branded Entertainment & Experiential. Janina was one of the senior leads for the company, providing strategic input on the company’s operations and responsible for relationships between talent, partners and clients such as HBO, Time Inc. and Verizon. She also led the launch of VOYR, a digital subscription platform, featuring Kanye West during the Watch The Throne Tour. Earlier in her career, Janina worked for various marketing agencies.Janina holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from University of Wisconsin and an M.S. in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University.
