
In the newly-created position of EVP, President of Global Media Sales for Clear Channel Communications, John’s responsibilities will be to lead business development for the company’s radio and outdoor business, working with brand marketers, CMOs and agencies on behalf of Clear Channel’s offerings. He was most recently President of Time Warner Global Media Group (and SVP- Time Warner), handling partnerships with company advertisers and helping drive growth across all Time Warner businesses. There, he was also instrumental in building revenue for Time Warner international businesses via U.S. program expansion. Previously, John worked at Y&R for more than 18 years, as Founder and CEO of Brand Buzz, a creative unit of Y&R, and positions including EVP/Global Client Leader for Sony and other global accounts. He was named a Crain’s “Top 40 Under 40” executive in 1998, and sits on boards including “NYC Education Virtual Enterprises” to support student career opportunities. He serves on the AD Club Executive Committee and was previous Chairman of the International ANDY Awards Committee.
